A Guided Writing for Publication Workshop for Medical-Surgical Nurses

Aspiring or published authors, save your spot at this exclusive, in-person, 2.5-day writing workshop designed for nurses seeking to publish in a professional, peer-reviewed journal.

Work closely with experienced, published nurse scholars to refine your manuscript and prepare it for submission to Advancing Medical-Surgical Nursing or another professional journal.

Who Should Participate?

  • Individual nurses or teams (up to two people per team) seeking first-time writing guidance.
  • Experienced nurse authors preparing their next peer-reviewed publication.
  • Nurses with a topic and draft manuscript ready for refinement.

Learner Outcomes
  • Identify a predatory journal.
  • Understand authorship guidelines.
  • Apply APA formatting to tables and figures.
  • Create an effective journal cover letter.
  • Prepare and submit a manuscript using an editorial management system.

  • Draft manuscript submission is required for workshop consideration.

  • If fewer than 10 register, the workshop will be canceled and refunds will be issued.

  • AMSN Members: $600
  • Non-Members: $800

Travel and lodging are not included in the registration fee.
