In this episode, we’re talking about med-surg nursing as the foundation for all nursing practice. Too often, we hear that med-surg is ‘where you have to do your time before you can go to a specialty area’, or nursing professors tell students ‘if you’re not top of class, you’ll have to rotate through med-surg, and not a specialty area’. In this episode, we explore AMSN’s position that med-surg is not only a critical practice area but also a nursing specialty.
