We are excited to have you present at the 2025 AMSN Convention in Austin, Texas, Sept. 11-13! Please read this resource page in its entirety, as it contains important information and deadlines for presenting your session at this year’s convention.

Please take any feedback received into consideration before submitting the final draft of slide presentations by Wednesday, Sept. 3 Please submit all drafts via email to speakers@amsn.org by the deadlines noted above.
Presentation Template and Handout Guidelines
An official 2025 AMSN Convention PowerPoint Template is available to use for your presentation. The template provided is formatted in standard widescreen 16:9 ratio.
We highly encourage all speakers to use the provided template. However, if you choose to use your own template, please format the presentation in a 16:9 layout for the best possible viewing experience for your audience.
Download the PPT Template
AMSN offers registrants copies of slides as handouts to supplement verbal presentations at the convention. These handouts will be uploaded to the convention mobile app and website. Adhering to the 16:9 ratio will ensure uniformity and ease of viewing when uploaded.
If you have any additional handout materials you would like to provide for attendees, please submit those in PDF format with your slides.
Presentation Slides Tips
- While Wi-Fi will be available, high-speed downloads and streaming may experience a lag. Please ensure any videos in your presentation are embedded.
- It is recommended to keep a backup copy of your presentation on a flash drive.
When submitting your slide for review and as a final version, please name your slide deck file with your session ID, an underscore, then the title with no spaces (ex: 201A_TitleExampleHere).
Session Room Setup
All session rooms will have the following:
- Podium
- Laptop with remote for advancing slides
- Front table with two chairs
- Handheld microphones or wireless lavalier microphones
- Projector and screen
If you require special accommodations or have any accessibility requirements we should know about, please contact us at speakers@amsn.org.
Please arrive at your assigned room at least 10 minutes before the start of your session. Each session time slot has an assigned moderator and convention liaison that will meet you. The session moderator will introduce the presenter at the start of the session, and will sit near the front of the room, in view, to provide 10-, five- and one-minute warnings. The in-room A/V team will be there to pull up your pre-loaded PowerPoint presentation and assist with any technical needs.

FAQs
Q: Will session speakers receive an honorarium for presenting at the AMSN Convention?
A: In lieu of an honorarium, all speakers will receive a code to receive a discount off full conference registration.
Q: The discount code isn’t working. What should I do?
A: If you experience issues redeeming your coupon code during registration, please reach out to registration@amsn.org for assistance.
Q: How long is my presentation and what about time for audience questions?
A: Concurrent sessions are scheduled for a total of 60 minutes and Rapid-Fire sessions are scheduled for a total of 30 minutes. Concurrent session presentation should plan for a minimum of 45-50 minutes and Rapid-Fire should plan for 20 minutes of content to allow for questions and discussion at the end of the session.
Q: Can my slide presentation be created and presented in Keynote, Google Slides, or Prezi?
A: You are free to create your slides in that format, however when your slides are submitted for review to AMSN and made final for presentation on-site, they will need to be in PowerPoint format.
Q: Will I need to bring my laptop for my presentation?
A: No, a laptop with your pre-loaded final PowerPoint presentation will be present in each session room. A remote to advance your slides will also be available. We encourage all speakers to have a copy of their finalized slide deck on a flash drive as a backup.
Q: Can I add interactivity to my slides like polls, audience questions, or word clouds?
A: Absolutely, yes! Some options that are great are Mentimeter, Slido, and Kahoot. If you choose to add this interactive option, please let AMSN staff know in advance so we can alert the AV team to assure that there is connectivity in the session room.
Q: What about additional resources to share with attendees?
A: If you have supplemental materials to share with session attendees, such as checklist examples or worksheets, you can send those to AMSN staff with your finalized slides. Staff will convert them to a PDF and include those as part of the session materials in the AMSN Convention mobile app. You are also free to bring physical copies if you would like to do so.
Q: What should I wear while presenting?
A: Presenters often opt for business attire when presenting. Convention attire is business/business casual. Be mindful that some spaces may be cooler or warmer than others, so be prepared with layers. Comfortable shoes are also recommended.
