August 30, 2023 Updates and Exciting Developments Certification Central President’s Message, August 2023 MSNCB is undergoing changes, including a new office in Chicago, and new staff. The organization is also working on establishing an updated passing score for the CMSRN credential and will soon release the results to those waiting. A new CAVRN credential for virtual nurses will launch in 2024, and the AMSN Convention in Las Vegas is coming up.

August 30, 2023 Members Request Congressional Support During 2023 AMSN Virtual Hill Day Medical-Surgical Nurses Advocate for Vital Workplace Safety, Health Equity, and Nursing Workforce Center Legislation

During AMSN's Virtual Hill Day, board and committee members met with congressional staffers to advocate for three important pieces of legislation. They discussed the Workplace Violence Prevention Act to improve safety for healthcare workers, the John Lewis Equality Act to address health disparities, and the National Nursing Workforce Center Act to strengthen the nursing workforce. AMSN members stressed the need for workplace safety, equitable healthcare access, and increased resources for nursing training. AMSN encourages Congress to support these bills.
