Welcoming MSNCB's New Leadership

I hope the start of 2024 has been good to you! I am Jessica Tully, DNP, RN, CMSRN, CNML, CENP, and I am excited to be stepping into the role of MSNCB President-Elect this year! I have been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years and am currently the medical-surgical division director for Midland Memorial Hospital. I have a passion to work closely with outstanding medical-surgical clinicians and further advance the specialty of medical-surgical nursing.

I would also like to use this President’s Message as an opportunity to introduce our new Board members to MSNCB. We are very excited to have Director Hannie Yu, MSN, RN, CMSRN, NPD-BC and Public Member Matt Turner, PhD.

Hannie is a Registered Nurse with three decades of experience. She began her career in 1994 by obtaining a BSN from Central Philippine University. Throughout her career, she has focused on medical-surgical nursing with a concentration in oncology and wound care. In 2016, she earned a Master's Degree in Nursing (Education) from Gonzaga University and has maintained her certification as a medical-surgical nurse. An RN since 2012, Hannie has worked for different nursing facilities and has been at UW Medicine - Valley Medical Center for over 11 years. For the past four years, she has served as a clinical nurse educator, and she recently passed the examination for the ANCC Nursing Professional Development Board Certification. Hannie continuously develops education curricula that cater to the needs of the nurses and nursing assistants she supports, incorporating technology and programs to keep the content fresh and engaging for adult learners. She advocates for professional growth and clinical competency among nurses and mentors them to pursue specialty certification in medical-surgical nursing.

Dr. Matt Turner is a licensed psychologist who has worked in private practice and in school settings. He has an extensive background in assessment and organizational leadership. He is owner of Revolution Assessment, Management, & Consulting (Revolution AMC), a firm designed to assist organizations with research and credentialing needs. In this role, he facilitates the development, improvement, and management of ongoing operation of examinations and credentialing programs. He has broad regulation and credentialing experience, having directed the development of examinations both in the U.S. and internationally, including the Psychology Licensing Exam (EPPP). He is excited to provide a both a certification perspective and health services consumer perspective to the Board.

We look forward to the value Hannie and Matt will bring MSNCB and the certificants.
