AMSN Digital Content Committee member, former Podcast Subcommittee member, and this year’s closing general session panelist Samantha (Sam) Bayne, MSN, RN, CMSRN, NPD-BC, spent the day documenting her time at #AMSN2026. Follow along as she takes us through her experience on day one in Palm Springs.
7:30 a.m.
Getting ready to go! What’s in my bag? I brought a notebook, a few pens, water bottle, hand sanitizer, a few snacks, and emergency hair clip! Lots of room for vendor swag 👀
7:30 a.m.
OOTD! At convention, I like to keep things business casual. You should anticipate a bit of walking so wear comfy shoes. While it’s very hot here in Palm Springs, the convention center is nice and cool!
7:45 a.m.
Walking to the convention center! These markers out on the sidewalk were a game changer!
8 a.m.
Time to get through registration and pick up my badge! Lots of great ribbons to add!
12:45 p.m.
Lunch time! I was fortunate to be invited to the CMSRN Certificant Milestone Celebration. Attendees reaching their 5-, 10-, 15-, and 20-year CMSRN milestones were celebrated with a pin followed up by a group photo and swag bags for everyone!
2:40 p.m.
A much-needed cup of coffee fit perfectly with the next session I picked to attend. Every session I’ve been to today has been an engaging topic with amazing presenters!
6 p.m.
And that’s a wrap on day one! Finishing up with a ‘90s-themed Opening Reception full of vendors, posters, and evening snacks and beverages! Thank you, AMSN, for a great first day of convention!
