Scope and Standards of Medical-Surgical Nursing Practice, 7th Edition

The Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN) is pleased to announce the 7^th edition of the Scope and Standards of Medical-Surgical Nursing Practice. This revision addresses needed competencies and recommended standards for nursing practice and professional performance in the specialized area of medical-surgical nursing.

As part of the revision process, AMSN invites public review and comment on the current draft of the 7^th Edition. This version of the manuscript has been reviewed by the AMSN Board of Directors. The Scope and Standards Editorial Taskforce also intends to submit the 7^th edition to the American Nurses Association (ANA) for approval.
